What’s It All About?

The energy sector in Poland is currently undergoing a literal transformation. The green transition, legislative changes, coal phase-out, the development of nuclear power and renewables, and the growing demand for stable heat and electricity supply – all of this makes energy one of the most dynamic and forward-looking industries today.

But – and this is key – no transformation will happen without people. Specialists are needed. Engineers. Economists. Analysts. Technicians. System designers and innovators.

The problem? Many companies already struggle to find qualified professionals. At the same time, universities are educating future graduates who often don’t know what skills will actually be expected by employers.

This lecture aims to bridge that gap. In fact – the entire series does.

Who Is This For?

✔️ Students of: energy, electrical engineering, automation, environmental engineering, management, and economics
✔️ Those looking for their first job or internship in the industry
✔️ Anyone who wants to know which technologies will really matter
✔️ The curious – because energy efficiency isn’t just for engineers

About the Speakers – June 11 Event

🧠 Prof. Wojciech Bujalski
Director of the Institute of Heat Engineering at Warsaw University of Technology. One of the key voices in Poland’s heating sector transformation. An expert in energy efficiency, district heating modernization, and transition projects.
During the lecture, he’ll discuss the challenges Polish cities and companies face in upgrading their heating infrastructure, and the role that future engineers will play in that process.

⚛️ Dr. Paweł Zaremba
Advisor to the Management Board of Polish Nuclear Power Plants. He has been involved for years in nuclear energy development in Poland, including workforce preparation, technology assessment, and implementing stable, zero-emission energy sources.
His talk will explore the role of nuclear energy in the future energy mix and why a career in this field is one for the next generation.

🌡 Tomasz Tutak, M.Sc. Eng.
Practitioner, entrepreneur, and board advisor at TAT ECO, as well as a member of the Polish-Swiss Chamber of Commerce. He specializes in implementing innovative heating solutions – both for companies and residential buildings.
He’ll share real-world insights from deploying cutting-edge heating technologies that could transform how we think about warmth.

🌍 Why Is This on the Student Movement’s Page?

Because it’s not just a conference – it’s an educational mission aimed directly at students.
By supporting the development of future engineers’, economists’, and energy changemakers’ skills, the Student Movement plays an active role in building a conscious, responsible academic environment.

We’re not passive receivers of knowledge.
We are the generation that will carry out Poland’s energy transition – in labs, boardrooms, and government advisory teams.

We’re proud to support an event that bridges academic knowledge with industrial practice. Thanks to partners like KGHM, Energa, and the National Chamber of Commerce, students get a real chance to connect with the industry and explore where and how they can grow their careers.

🔜 Next event in the series: June 25 at the Silesian University of Technology in Gliwice.

We invite you to take part – because the future of energy starts today. And it starts with us.

🕙 10:00–13:00
📣 Event: Energy Efficiency in Industry and Science

This isn’t another boring lecture with a PowerPoint from 2005.
It’s a meeting with people who are actually shaping Poland’s energy sector – from nuclear, to district heating, to new tech for homes and businesses.

🎤 Who’s Speaking?

🔬 Prof. Wojciech Bujalski – a top expert in Polish district heating and Head of the Institute of Heat Engineering at Warsaw University of Technology. If anyone knows how to transform a sector that affects millions of Poles every winter – it’s him.

⚛️ Dr. Paweł Zaremba – advisor to the Polish Nuclear Power Plants board. Nuclear isn’t science fiction – it’s our future. Zaremba will explain how to build stable, zero-emission energy sources – and what skills are needed to work in the nuclear sector.

🔥 Tomasz Tutak, M.Sc. Eng. – advisor, entrepreneur, and practitioner. He’ll talk about innovative heat sources that could revolutionize how we heat buildings in Poland. And this isn’t from a textbook – it’s from experience.

💡 Why Should You Come?

• Learn about real energy sector challenges – not from theory, but from those solving them today
• Discover which skills will truly matter on the energy job market
• Connect with top industry partners – KGHM, Energa, PEJ – who invest in both energy and young talent
