We invite you to a travelling exhibition of student posters that has arrived at the SGH Innovation Space Center.
This is a confrontation of rebellious voices from the past with those that are only just emerging.
See it, be inspired, and… maybe join the movement yourself.

About Event

From 6 May 2025, the Innovation Space Centre of the Warsaw School of Economics will host a unique exhibition that not only shows the history of the student movement but also invites visitors to help create its next chapter. “Scroll the past. Create the future.” is less a title than an invitation to reflect on what has been—and what is still to come.
The show features student posters from the 1970s, 80s and 90s, selected and prepared by:
• Piotr Wasilewski – affiliated with the Kraków Library and head of the culture section of the “Student” fortnightly in the 1980s, and
• Maja Maciejko – an interdisciplinary artist, creative photographer and image-building specialist.

Previously, the exhibition could be viewed, among other places, in the
Warsaw Stock Exchange building and at the
“Stodoła” student club.
It has now reached SGH — a university where creativity meets analytical thinking and
young people look for tools to change the world.

The exhibition at SGH was initiated by members of the
Polish Students’ Association (ZSP),
and the whole project is coordinated by
Zuzanna Płaszewska, whose dedication proves that
student energy is very much alive.

Why is it worth seeing this exhibition?

Because a poster is more than just graphics. It is a
commentary on reality—an artistic form of resistance, an emotional voice of youth.

Some of these posters were created when paper and ink were a luxury; others were designed digitally with today’s audience in mind.

Each one says something important.

Sometimes it shouts. Sometimes it leaves room for interpretation.

In our virtual gallery we tried to describe what we see in them — but
you decide what they mean to you.
