75th Anniversary of the Polish Students’ Association (ZSP) in Lublin
Memories that never fade
16 May 2025 in the former canteen building of Lublin University of Technology—now known as Lanczomania—time seemed to stand still. In an atmosphere of warmth, laughter and memories—sometimes moving, sometimes anecdotal—generations connected by a shared history under the banner of the Polish Students’ Association (ZSP) came together.
This was no ordinary anniversary. 75 years of activity by ZSP is a record of thousands of human stories, acts of rebellion, ideas and initiatives that have forever been inscribed on the academic map of Poland—including that of Lublin.

The official segment that moved hearts
The evening opened with recollections—both personal and organisational. Speeches by our Colleagues reminded us what the ZSP community truly meant: a guardian of student culture, a forge of leaders, an ambassador of youth, travel and inter-generational friendship.
There were stories of Patrons, cabarets, trips, concerts and those moments that, although long gone, remain in our memories forever. Emotion mingled with smiles. Toasts were raised, and symbolic gestures made in remembrance of those who could no longer be with us.
Poster exhibition – a tribute to student art
In one of the rooms visitors could step into an aesthetic world from decades ago. An exhibition of 22 student posters from 1959–1989 proved that student creativity has always carried the power of social commentary, irony, distance and incredible energy. Film, music and… conversations that never ended
The programme also included a screening of “Zrzeszenie, ach Zrzeszenie” directed by Krzysztof Magowski – a documentary previously shown, among other places, at Warsaw’s Stodoła club. If you missed it, you can catch up online:
And then… the music started. Artists from Lublin universities took the stage, and Lanczomania pulsed with sound and laughter until midnight. It was a true intergenerational fête where table-talk, shared photos and “remember when…” went on and on.
