Celebration of the 75th Anniversary of the Student Movement
It Does Matter to Us

On the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the Student Movement in Poland, we invite you to a unique event – a gala, concert, and intergenerational gathering. It will be a time of memories, reflection, and celebration of the values that have shaped the academic community for decades. April 17, 2025 – Warsaw University of Technology.

About Event
The culture of the student community has always been a space of creative courage and social engagement. In student clubs, dormitories, and on university campuses, ideas were born that were ahead of their time—openness, diversity, and tolerance. The student environment shaped individuals who valued not only personal ambition but also shared values.
Thanks to its openness and intellectual independence, the student community led the way in culture and social life for decades. It helped shape new concepts of equality and social responsibility. Without the academic thought developed over generations, many of the social, cultural, and civilizational changes we now take for granted would not have been possible.

Some events are like home – you return, even if 5, 10, or 40 years have passed. Because it’s the place where it all began.
It’s not just about your studies. It’s about friendships, ideas, basement concerts, long discussions until morning, and that inexplicable energy that filled the dorms, clubs, and university hallways.
April 17, 2025 we meet at the Warsaw University of Technology to say out loud: we do care. Because we did back then – and we still do today.
Why is it worth it?
-
- Because you’ll sit in the same Main Hall where your story may have once begun.
-
- Because you’ll hear legends live – Maryla Rodowicz, Mela Koteluk, Jerzy Filar – and a whole new generation of artists who still play “their own way.”
-
- Because your hosts will be people who do it with grace and ease – Marek Sierocki and Krzysztof Łobodziński.
-
- Because in the evening, at the jubilee toast and in the Stodoła club, you’ll reunite with old friends – or meet ones who’ve yet to appear in your story.
And if you’re from a younger generation – it’s a great opportunity to see what culture looked like before TikTok made things go viral.
This event connects generations. It’s a space where nothing needs to be faked – because everyone who comes knows what true community is.
The program also includes a poster exhibition and a film screening about how academic youth have built their own unique media and forms of expression over the years.
This is not just a gala. It’s a celebration of growing up together, taking action, and remembering. Let this jubilee be a symbol that despite the changes – values remain.
Register, join us, and add your brick to the next 75 years.
