teatr STU Exodus - strona B
The cross-shaped poster Exodus (STU Theatre, Side B) designed by Eugeniusz Get-Stankiewicz is composed of red paper strips that, when unfolded, form a crucifix. On their surface appears a monochrome photograph of a naked woman seen from behind, her arms outstretched and feet together—the direct reverse of the male image on Side A. A repeated white inscription, “EXODUS teatr STU,” runs along the arms and vertical shaft, giving the layout a rhythmic, typographic frame. The juxtaposition of a delicate female body with the stark geometry of the cross evokes themes of sacrifice, corporeality, and gender balance within the narrative of salvation or liberation. A minimalist palette—an intense red background contrasted with the pale figure—heightens the drama while preserving an ascetic clarity. Altogether, the work is a bold conceptual gesture that probes the limits of the sacred and of art itself, asserting that Exodus is not merely a stage production but a visual liturgy of the body.
